Lizette brings a wealth of knowledge to education leaders after close to two decades in public education. She started her career as a classroom teacher and grew her expertise while holding campus and district leadership roles before joining the Texas Education Agency (TEA). She stepped into various statewide senior roles at TEA, and most recently served as the Executive Director of District Systems and Strategies. Lizette holds a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from West Texas A&M University, and a Ph.D. in School Improvement from Texas State University. When she isn’t supporting schools, she is a loving wife, proud mother of two, avid traveler, and loves to experiment in the kitchen.
