This course is the third step of a high school sequence built upon the statewide CTE Programming and Software Development program to meet the expectations of College and Career Ready Standards. The course will encourage students' creativity and ingenuity by allowing them to develop, carry out, and present impactful programs using various media. Students will study object-oriented and software engineering techniques in Python® that are applied to designing and implementing programs that manipulate complex data structures. The course is also aimed at preparing students for the PCAP exam, which will enable them to start their own studies at an advanced level and open a path to the developer's career. Note: A prerequisite for this course is AP Computer Science Principles and this is a year-long offering.
