Reimagine the future of middle and high school by providing high-quality, live online courses your students will love
Coursemojo's innovative, hybrid model allows us to offer our students what they want and deserve: a wide array of rigorous, interesting courses that they're really excited to take.
With an emphasis on Deaf culture, you will develop your receptive and expressive skills to communicate and interact successfully with the Deaf community.
A hybrid course is one in which students learn through a mix of in-person and online learning. This mix allows for flexibility. In one scenario, students work with classmates and a “learning coach” in-person in a classroom, while accessing content and live instructional expertise online via Zoom. In another scenario, students meet with an expert teacher and classmates from home, via Zoom, and then have check-ins with a learning coach in-person at school. In yet another scenario, students come to the classroom 2-3 times per week for live instruction with an online expert, learning coach and classmates, and on the other days, students complete online activities/assignments at home or in a study hall.
Coursemojo has enabled schools and districts to unlock three different models to date (more are certainly possible): (1) students come to the physical classroom each day to meet with a live online instructor, a learning coach, and classmates AND all students are taking the same hybrid class, (2) students come to the physical classroom each day to meet with a live online instructor, a learning coach, and classmates AND all students are NOT taking the same hybrid class, and (3) students take the class from home, working with teachers and classmates live via Zoom.
While hybrid courses can look differently depending on the model, most involve the collaboration between an in-person “learning coach” (who does not need to be certified or have subject-area expertise) and an online “expert teacher” who joins via Zoom. The online teacher plans and leads the lesson, and the in-person coach reinforces expectations and manages the in-person classroom. The students all have access to a laptop, and they frequently engage both in-person and online.
